A native of Nashville, TN, Leia Vieira began showing interest in the arts at a very early age. It was while watching her parents paint when she was just four-years-old that she first began to experiment with drawing and painting. She tested her artistic tendencies throughout her formative years.
Fine arts in its many different media became an important part of Leia’s life. Years of practice under some of the best artists and teachers helped her win a government-paid scholarship to the prestigious Governor’s School for the Arts at Middle Tennessee State University. After high school, family and an interest in digital media led her to Orlando, Florida, where she attended Full Sail University, graduating with a degree in Digital Media – not to mention a perfect attendance award!
Leia has been working as a graphic designer ever since. Recently, her artistic vision has been inspired by the beauty of Florida’s spectacular wildlife, particularly the alligators and snake found in this enigmatic state. She is now working on a series of paintings to show how magnificent and mysterious Florida’s wildlife is…to share her love for Nature…and to reveal the heart of the real Florida.
